nikki
Hi! I'm using an old labtop with Windows ME and I would like to transfer all my data from the Microsoft Works agenda to an external hard drive in order to save everything as I intend to change computers. I can't find any saving options...I would appreciate your help! Thanks!Nikki
AlanHo
If you have the external hard drive plugged into a USB port - you should be able to use Windows Explorer to drag and drop the files across. Some external drives require accompanying software to be installed so the computer can recognise it. I have a drive that you can just plug into the USB port and Windows will do the rest.
ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
I don't know Microsoft Works, so I don't know where it saves its data, but possibly in the 'My Documents' folder. One easy way to transfer files and settings to a new computer is the Files and Settings Transfer Wizard. Click here for a few articles on the Microsoft site.
