I have been using IE7 on my desk top computer without problems for some time.

Yesterday - MS decided to upgrade my laptop with IE7 - it aske dpermission and I was happy to let it.

Upon rebooting I got an error message

SmartBridge alerts

The procedure entry point GetProcessImageFileNameW could not be located in the dynamic link library PSAPI.DLL

I clicked OK and the message vanished leaving the laptop working normally.

This morning on booting the laptop - same message.

I googled and found this advice :-

Click the "Start" button, choose "Search" then click "All files and folders"

option.

In the "All or part of the file name" search box type "SmartBridge" and look

for a folder to come up with the name "SmartBridge".

Click on the folder and locate the file called "psapi.dll". Right-click on

the file and rename it as "psapiold.dll" or "psapi_old.dll" or something

similar.

Close all open windows and applications and reboot your computer.

The message should now be disabled from reappearing.

It now seems to be OK (fingers crossed)
