AlanHo Posted November 19, 2006 Report Share Posted November 19, 2006 I have been using IE7 on my desk top computer without problems for some time.Yesterday - MS decided to upgrade my laptop with IE7 - it aske dpermission and I was happy to let it.Upon rebooting I got an error message SmartBridge alertsThe procedure entry point GetProcessImageFileNameW could not be located in the dynamic link library PSAPI.DLLI clicked OK and the message vanished leaving the laptop working normally.This morning on booting the laptop - same message.I googled and found this advice :-Click the "Start" button, choose "Search" then click "All files and folders" option. In the "All or part of the file name" search box type "SmartBridge" and look for a folder to come up with the name "SmartBridge". Click on the folder and locate the file called "psapi.dll". Right-click on the file and rename it as "psapiold.dll" or "psapi_old.dll" or something similar. Close all open windows and applications and reboot your computer.
