Irene Posted November 21, 2006 Report Share Posted November 21, 2006 Hi..I frequently receive a pop-up balloon message on the bottom right task bar with the following information:! Windows Virtual memory minimum too low.Windows is increasing the size of your virtual memory paging file etc etc..What am I doing to cause this message and is there any adjustment I can make to whatever the paging file is to avoid it. Alan2273 Posted November 21, 2006 Report Share Posted November 21, 2006 In WinXP, right click My Computer, and select Properties. Go to the Advanced tab, and under Performance, click Settings. At there, click the Advanced tab. There, you will find one option at the bottom to change your virtual memory. Select Change and increase it. Irene Posted November 21, 2006 Author Report Share Posted November 21, 2006 Hi Alan2273Found that ok thank you.Custom size is checked and it says that Initial size is 192, Maxinimum size is 384.Lower down on the same screen it states: Total paging file size for all drives. Minimum allowed: 2MB, Recommended: 1723 MB, Currently allocated: 192 MB.Which number should I change?
