martyr Posted December 8, 2006 Report Share Posted December 8, 2006 hey!im working at a law - software firm, we got like 5 computers all connected to a router.(netgear rp-614 v2)our boss is living in germany and he s visiting us like 1/3 months, which is cool, and he s a cool guy. we re working like 7 8 hrs and sumtimes we take a break and play on worldofwarcraftor counterstrike on the internet,but then this computer expert comes, friend of him, he s pure evil this guy, and tells us he s monitoring us, he reads the router log every goddam day, so we obviously hab a problem.question is, how could we bypass the router w/o touching it of courseso that guy doesn see the ip adress in the log; so we could download,play, surf the internet etcetc w/o sh$#@ our pants.i m w8ing for any suggestionty Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

He makes the decisions, so he should say whether you can take breaks and play games or not.It is possible to log all information in the router, but I believe this is only DHCP logs and things like that, meaning it logs which computer gets which IP address.I do not know of a way to bypass this without knowing the admin password for the router to turn it off, and we are not able to supply that information on a public forum.My suggestion, contact your boss because this sounds like more of an inter-company problem, than a networking problem.
