ok like when Im going to down load sumthing wether it be a Quicktime update or a song ... like if I was to click install from the internet ...a window allways pops up saying " the feature that you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable. and it also aks me to choose an alternate path and the path thats in the scroll test box is C:\DOCUME~1\ADMINI~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\NIS\NAV\ " ... ok so theres my prob ... even if I directly save a song or update to my computer to open that still comes up but I just click cancel then it works ... does anyone know whats wrong here ... or what should I use as my alternate path ... my compuet is one year old and in never did this for the 1st half ... but I mean it just bugs me cuz on myspace they want me to intsall a quicktime update and I cant becuase it doesnt allow you to save it first ... I cant dirctly download anything with out saving it to my hard drive and I cant stream alot of things eaither cuz the same thing happens.. help help.

Most Symantec/Norton software is notoriously difficult to uninstall. You have to obtain some special uninstaller software from Symantec to get most of their crapware removed from your computer.

Hopefully someone here knows from where you can download it, without having to spend hours on the phone with their support.

I am not one to rush people to reinstall. How about restore from your last backup?

Or just wait; someone may have the download location for the de-nortification software.

... maybe here: http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/tsgen...005033108162039

What exactly was your Norton software?

And you shouldn't just uninstall anti-virus software without a replacement. Even Norton is better than nothing, but there are free anti-virus softwares that are better than Norton. But make sure that Norton is fully uninstalled before you install anything else.

Use this if you have Norton 5.0/2000/2001/2002 or 2003 - http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/sunse...src=bar_sch_nam

If you also have Norton Internet Security, please follow this AFTER using the above tool - http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/nip.n...5256ee600549628

The procedure is a bit different if you have 2004, 2005 or 2006.
