encryptied, but not decrypting

Hi all

in my office machine i saved some data in format of .doc, .xls, .pm65 (Pagemaker file), .MP3, etc. i have aencrypted all my files & folder (user id sandeep, domain - amitenterprises), after that we changed our server, domain name & installed Win 2000 on my machine , after changing server we formated my machine & installed Win XP after that my user id was same i.e. sandeep, & domain amitentp, now that files & folder can not be decrypted, i am very dipressed, it can not decrypt, i am attaching my machin to old server which not formatted, same domain, same name, etc. & trying to decrypting, but i cannt. please tell me what is the solution to decrypt the files, it is very important to me.

I do not know much about encryption, but other forum members might. Did you use some specific software for encrypting, or some Windows native encryption?

You have my sympathy and I really hope someone will be able to help.

My opinion of encryption programs is very low indeed, having lost information or rather having irretrievable information by using an encryption program (Steganos). See my post click here

Theres no easy way that I've heard. The best site I've seen on this is here. With out backing up your keys your kinda out of luck, but the guy on that page supposedly has found ways around it. Other than that you will probably have to buy "high quality (99-300$usd)" software to decrypt them. And if you go the software route I think you'll have to know what login password you had when you encrypted them.
