Weird File???

There is this weird file in my hard drive that has a bunch of numbers with letters which is also the title of the folder. What is the file? Is it a virus? Can I delete it? Thank you and Happy Hoildays!!!!

It is very hard for us to give you an answer without knowing the exact file name and path. Please copy and paste these information here, and someone will give you further information.

It may also be the ActiveX Object's Class Id, for use in the system, to provide it's data when called from an app or apps. These are activeX controls, components and objects, registered within your own sysem, usually with an .ocx extension. As various weed files, from outside sources will do this too, to escape detection, but they don't usually create a directory, but activeX viruses can for the same purpose, basically a function library, like a .dll, that they can call at various times to do various things. Double Check it, it may be a support for a program, or system ActiveX component. If i is deleted, an unknown application, may be without it. Check the date the objects were created, and if you installed anyhting around then. If it's older, it may be a system ocx. Double check b4 delete.

or try to figure out which program uses the file, a good tool to do this is Unlocker

if the file isnt used, its save to remove > you could also look at the Properties>Last Opened date to see if it is used on startup or something important
