jason490
Hello Everyone,Just found this site, very nice. I have a question for you. My company is wanting to put their job application online so of course people can do it on the internet. It would be nice if we could scan our current app and then make the fields editable. The user could then print it or email it. Does anyone know how to do this? PDF format would be nice or word, either.ThanksJasonIT Director
-pops-
If your job application forms are "bought in" commercial ones they are most likely copyrighted and thus cannot be legally used in the way you wish.If the forms are your own design then it should be a simple job to use your existing template or a Word copy of same to put on your firm's website or send in an email.Be careful putting forms like this on a site accessible to the general public. Some people think it very clever to return these forms in large numbers with so-called "joke" fillings-in.A company I helped do a similar project took it off-line within a day after getting over 1,000 forms returned filled in with obscenities. jason490
Thanks Pops,If I might ask, how did you make it to where the fields could be filled in by the applicant and then filled in?Jason
-pops-
I'm a great user of tables and tables within tables and tables within tables within tables. If you're sending the form out as a PDF then you can hide the borders by setting to "none" in your WP program. If you are sending in the original WP format (Word or similar) then set the border colour to white - it will then be invisible. Avoid setting the borders to "Hidden" as this can sometimes upset the global template and cause problems in the future use of the WP program.
