hi well this is the most strangest thing ever seen in my last 10 IT exp. with windows, well i have 512 mb speed of broadband connection. so if i use internet through admin accounts or admin assigned right accounts then internet speed works as dailup (i think dialup even is faster then my connection) but when i try to se internet from guest accounts which do not have admin right then it work perfect without any doubts. i dont what is the matter. please post ur comments if you guys know something like this.

This command resets the Winsock catalog to the default configuration.

This can be useful if a malformed LSP is installed that results in loss of network connectivity.

While use of this command can restore network connectivity,

it should be used with care because any previously-installed LSPs will need to be re-installed.

This means Antivirus software, firewalls, VPN clients etc

Your talking about the netshell tcp/ip commands, specifically the reset catalog. These will do what your saying thats why I usually recommend WinSockFix or a similar program. That way it only wipes bad entries away and even if it did mess something up you will have a backup.
