catgate Posted January 12, 2007 Report Share Posted January 12, 2007 A friend, who knows even less than I do about computers, has asked me to look for a cheap laptop for him, to use "mainly for eBay"!!He is apparently on Sky for Tv and phone. (2Mbs speed, 2 GB download) Extra £5 for 8Mbs, 40 GB download if his line will carry it.Thos.PS. Sky supply a wireless router and all the paraphenalia for a modest connection fee. Sky supply a wireless router and all the paraphenalia for a modest connection fee.That's interesting, Thos.I asked him if he knew if they did anything like that, but he did not seem to know.I was particularly interested in winmodem/USB modem/router choice, but I suppose he can ask that at the same time, bearing in mind they are trying to "sell" something.
