Sony 'Click to DVD'

Recommended Posts

I installed Sony 'Click to DVD' today; went through the various setup processes; created a movie with it; pressed the button to make the DVD....

Nothing!! It couldn't see the DVD writer. I checked in My Computer that the DVD Writer was present and operating ok. No problem at all. So it would seem that the new software just couldn't see it at all.

Does anyone have any experience of this software?

Any suggestions what could be causing the mask?

Help!!

I think I mentioned in another post that some people have problems with this program - even on computers of the same make as the software (Sony).

My own preference for DVD creation software is WinDVD here. There used to be a thirty day free trial on it.

Avoid Pinnacle. It is complex, slow and very prone to sync errors. (This is my own view of it).

I had Pinnacle on my former pc. You are right, it is complex, but if you can drive that you can drive anything!! I also have Nero, which came with my HP LightScribe. I hoped that by using software of the same 'Name', it would be a fully integrated system. Obviously not. Still I'll give them call tomorrow and see if they can come up with any new angles.

Thanks anyway pops. You always offer the best you can. :flowers:

I knew someone with a Vaio and the Sony DVD software who just couldn't get it to work. The helpline were totally useless and told him to install ASPI this, that and the other and all sorts of odd things such that, in the end, his computer was so messed up he had to re-install.

I put him on the winDVD Creator and he was, and still is, very happy with it.
