Internet Fails

ive been expierencing a problem lately:

my Internet sometimes just fails to work, while MSN just works properly

ive been experiencing this problem since i installed ZoneAlarm Pro [6.5=newest, right?]

sometimes it stops working when i have been on the internet for a long time, or when i visit certain websites [like windowsforum.org > ill get to that later]

i never had any problem like this with Norton IS [2004]

i tried shutting ZoneAlarm down and trying the internet again > sometimes this works, but it sometimes doesnt work...

is this a ZoneAlarm Pro 6.5 bug?

and the weird thing is: internet works properly after waiting something like 15 minutes...

please help

this is my Zone Alarm Pro product version info:

these are the most recent versions, right?

btw: i dont know if this is important, but i recently installed IE7 to check it out, but i hated it so i rolled back to IE6

about the Windows Forum thing:

when i visit the Windows Forum.org [this website] and i check out the Zone Alarm status window, i notice that the blocked intrusions grow with 20 intrusions[!]

this cant be right > i hope it is ZA's fault

sometimes when i visit WindowsForum.org my internet fails after reading a few topics [like 10 minutes], but sometimes it just works properly [very rare]

first i thought this had to do with the skin changing > lots of website progressing

but i figured out that wasnt the case: noone else complained about anything, and even when the skins are back to normal, my internet keeps failing

I believe there is a 7.0 version out now as of Jan. Updating may help. You could also try using zonelabs lsp utility. The filename is zllsputility. I've never used it but I think it removes the zonelabs layered service provider or attempts to fix it. What happens if you totally shutdown ZA and use the Windows Firewall to for say an hour. Does it still happen?

as i noted before: sometimes shutting down the ZA firewall works, but sometimes it doesnt...

ill be upgrading to ZA 7 today...

i havent got any increasing intrusion on windowsforum.org

but since the internet mostly fails in the evening, the problem isnt solved yet, we have to wait till the evening [its 9.45 AM here]

I believe that you are running Two AV programs. This can lead to conflicts.

i only have AVG AV Free 7.5 [bitDefender is no more > trail period ended]

well, ive been on internet for a while now [on this site]:

no increased intrusions, no internet failure

i think this problem is solved, BUT i want to wait with celebrating for a few days so i can test it fully

i tried to visit WindowsForum.org yesterday, but it seemed to be completely offline [cannot find server] {this was from: GMT+1 2.00 PM till now(havent checked in the night)}

i hope this was the case [was it?], and not that ZA blocked it somehow

i added WF to the trusted zone, and i have the feeling that that made the difference > i havent had any problems since i did that [i read something about these problems in IE 7, so i thought, lets try! > and it worked!]
