Recommended Posts

I recently Installed Ubuntu as my main OS now I have decided I want Ubunto on my secondary smaller hardrive and Widows XP as my main OS. When I run the windows boot CD and choose to install windows it says that it cant find the CD....

I used the repair option to format c: from the cmd line this formated fine..

but again after the cd was booted it still says there is a problem.

How do i get windows back on my machine?

Please help

The problem with using the formatting process within an operating system is that it always seems to leave traces behind and it is these that may be preventing the installation of a fresh O/S.

Try doing a low level format using the facility provided by the drive manufacturer.
