Irene
I want to be able to run aero on Windows Vista Ultimate (I won the legit version)Sorry, but I personally, don't know anything about graphics cards, Panarchy. I was just thinking that you seem to know your way around computers very well. What did you have to do to win Windows Vista? Do you have a career plan for when you finish school? :)
Panarchy
Yes, I am planning on doing something to do with computers. I am going to start learning C++ in the upcoming weeks, any ideas on how to learn that?I won Windows Vista (Ultimate YIPPIE) on thehotfix.net in a big competition. Put a post on somewhere suitable, with that as the header. ;)
Panarchy
Okay, I might do that!
ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Or you may join this topic in the other forum. There is a lot of C and C++ talk in there. The easiest way to learn a new programming tool is to set yourself a goal (a project), then implement it with the new tool. At least that's how I do it; I do not like to read thick books when a small reference summary will do.However, if you have never done any object-oriented programming before, you should acquaint yourself with object-oriented basics before. dagwoood
The 7600GS is the best one to go for Panarchy; it'll outperform the other 2 by quite a bit.As to DX10, it's not motherboard dependent per sé. Looking at what you were offered, it looks like you have an AGP slot and the few DX10 graphics cards that are available are PCI-E. So any motherboard with a PCI-E slot will run DX10. Panarchy
I think I only have an AGP slot. Thanks though, I will get that graphics card! Keep you posted, if you'll pardon the pun!
