kipstermania Posted February 21, 2007 Report Share Posted February 21, 2007 I recently bought a friends used computer but I cannot get the sound to work for the life of me. I have updated all the drivers checked to make sure there arent any conflicts in device manager been through the ends of the earth as far as MS troubleshooting goes. its a SB live card.yet when I restart the machine it plays sound through the speakers I have hooked up. telling me its booting from the OS... ect... but doesnt play any sound after that. no windows tune no system sounds nothing... once booted.
