The Dragon Posted February 22, 2007 Report Share Posted February 22, 2007 I need to re-install XP over itself to correct a couple major problems, and just want to know if doing so will leave my files intact. I am not doing a complete format of the hard drive so I want to ensure all of my photos, videos, music files, and text files will not be wiped out. The Dragon Posted February 22, 2007 Author Report Share Posted February 22, 2007 I do not have the regular Windows XP disk, I have the factory OEM version that came with the computer...I will check to see if it has that option described in the topic, because the recovery console got corrupted and has not worked in some time so that is not an option anyway...
