Brenda Posted February 25, 2007 Report Share Posted February 25, 2007 Have tried to install 2 different webcams but each time a message appears stating that the software is not approved by Windows/MS and if I proceed with installation my computer could be damaged. Most people ignore it as it is only a ruse by Microsoft to get manufacturers to submit items to them (together with a large fee) to get certification.Provided your webcam (or anything else) is of good quality and a known brand, there is nothing to worry about.
