Now he wants to buy a windows based system & wants to run internet thru that DSL conn. So the integration is the same as it is done b/w 2 windows based system (putting two NICs on the DSL computer, 1 of the DSL & other for the computer sharing) or is there some different procedure.Awaiting your responceCy Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Scarecrow Man Posted March 5, 2007 Report Share Posted March 5, 2007 I have 3 computers sharing 1 dial-up connection.1 modem, 2 nics.Internet comes in the modemNIC1 uses a cross-over to PC2 and supplies internetNIC2 uses a straight thru cable to Router1, which then uses a straight through cable to PC3. Usually only 1 person is on at any given time, but this just eliminates having to move cables all over the house.By the way: I used to have this set up wirelessly, but I dont have a wireless laptop anymore, so I've gone back to wired ;) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
