Brain Ache Posted March 20, 2007 Report Share Posted March 20, 2007 Pat,Maybe I should re-phrase, it makes more existing space avaliable after the defrag and it rearranges the sectors so files use sectors that are next to each other on the disk - keeps your hard disk healthy/tidy.Maybe the terms free's up space was a bit misleading, sorry everyone.Anyway glad Partition Magic fixed the problem.
