Jordan
Right, I put a game in the CD drive, and the autorun loads up fine. I click install, and the 'working' cursor appears, and it looks as if it's loading. After a few seconds, it disappears, along with the autorun window. I searched the Game CD's folder and found Setup.exe. I double clicked on this, and it did the same as what it did with the autorun window. Nothing happened. This problem occured with Worm's Armageddon, Worms 2, and Tomb Raider III. I know they're Windows 95 and 98 games, so I set the compatibility to the right OS. I'm using Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 2. I really want this to work, it's been bugging me for ages. I've also tried loading Safe mode to do it, but Safe mode shuts down for some reason as soon as I boot it up.
mcb2001
to be honest, running win95 games on XP can easily malfunction, even if you get the compatibility mode up.Examples Running:Diablo 1,Sam & Max (installable, not playable)Day of the tentaclesYada yada yada - and so on...I never found a solution myself, so i made it another way arround.I simply bought a cheap old computer, and installed win95 on it instead of whatever it came with, then played the games on that one.No errors, no malfunctions of the games and so on. Just one small problem! - keep the computer plugged OFF the internet!
Jordan
My parents won't let me do that. You know what parents are like. Aren't there any other solutions?
