mrpiddly Posted April 22, 2007 Report Share Posted April 22, 2007 On vista terragen take 3 times as lon to render any scene than it did on xp, osx is always ways faster than both but i need to use tools that are windows only. Instead of render times of 50 hours for a large scene, which is small by the way, i am looking at render times of up to 200 hours for the same scene with the same settings on the same computer. -pops- Posted April 22, 2007 Report Share Posted April 22, 2007 It could be that Terragen hasn't been updated to cope with Vista.According to http://www.planetside.co.uk/terragen/win/index.shtml it has not been updated since September 2005.There is a user group (look down the left side of their web site) who may be able to supply further information.It is something of an unusual program and it could be that it is not considered popular enough to update.
