speed_freak_uk Posted April 28, 2007 Report Share Posted April 28, 2007 Hi all, new to the forum Ive been downloading updates for my aunts laptop but this one particular update just doesn't wanna play. it will download and install apparently but then when i run the search again for any updates it shows up and wants the install again.this is the update im having problems with... Security Update for Microsoft Data Access Components (KB832483)http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/...n/ms04-003.mspxIt has service pack 4 installed.Any help much appreciated. One person I know who uses it doesn't come on at weekends but, as he's in Japan, he might be able to give an answer early Monday morning - that is if you don't get an answer before then. So i tried to install it manually from here but it says that i dont have IE 6, SP1 installed so the update wont continue.Stupid thing is, is that I DO have IE6, SP1!
