A little problem

Recommended Posts

My guess is that the person/company who built the computer is using a Dell corporate version of Windows to install on their machines.

This may not be legal (not certain on that).

I would get back to whoever built it and ask them.

That is also known as Branding. Well, it was on Windows XP. A manufacturer could put thier Company name, logo and tech support information onto the System Properties box.

I am not sure how to remove this from a Vista machine, but there are registry fixes for an XP machine with the similar problem.

This is part of the OEM Pre-installation Kit found here:

http://www.microsoft.com/oem/default.mspx

This software is only available to distributors, not end users.
