-pops- Posted May 11, 2007 Report Share Posted May 11, 2007 My guess is that the person/company who built the computer is using a Dell corporate version of Windows to install on their machines.This may not be legal (not certain on that).I would get back to whoever built it and ask them. A manufacturer could put thier Company name, logo and tech support information onto the System Properties box.I am not sure how to remove this from a Vista machine, but there are registry fixes for an XP machine with the similar problem.This is part of the OEM Pre-installation Kit found here:http://www.microsoft.com/oem/default.mspxThis software is only available to distributors, not end users.
