Ryan Smith
I'm getting ready to launch a Taiwanese version of a website, and it's going to require some of the individuals in running Taiwanese versions of Windows to create a static HOSTS entry before the DNS is all setup. In the English version of windows, the HOSTS file is located at:%WINDOWS_DIR%/system32/drivers/etcDoes anyone know if this is the same for the Taiwanese version? Thanks,Ryan. Scarecrow Man
Should be in the same location. I see no reason why it would be anywhere else.Just for reference, you may want to use %WINDIR% rather than %WINDOWS_DIR%
Seshomaru Samma
The 'Taiwanese' Windows is excatly the same as the English Windows ,except the display is in Traditional Chinese characters.
Ryan Smith
Thanks for the reply. That's what I figured, but I wanted to make sure before some detail like that screwed the entire process up.
