Hosting for home network

Hi i configured a home network to play a local network game (warcraftIII ._. its popular). In the end, I was able to configure the network to share folders. The problem is when i tried to host a game on one of my computers, they could now detect the computer hosting a game.

This is a real head-ache problem to me :( hope u guys can help me out with this.

I assume " they could now detect the computer hosting a game." was a typo, and supposed to be '...NOT detect...'

You will want to make sure, if you are using firewall software, that certian ports are opened. Have a look here:

o.o i've open the web page, but its for battle net. Meanwhile, i'm trying to configure for me home network, so that my other computer could connect through local network, no battle net. Or is it the same? i also heard from my friends that it btr to configure manually than auto by using the window's "set up a home or small office networks set up"?

Hmm, yes I see I have made a mistake. I have given instructions for battle.net and not LAN. I appologize.

You will want to open your Firewall and add the program to your exception list. If you use the Windows Firewall, just go to Start > Control Panel > Windows Firewall > Exceptions and use the add program button to locate your executable file (usually C:\Program Files\Program folder\Program.exe).
