krp1
few days back some one took ownership of my server and hence all my users rights to that server were deleted.and we had to add them one by one. can someone tell me how to create a script or how to backup only the user rights to the server, so that in case something like this happens we can restore it quickly.thanks,Prasad

Agent Smith
Hello krp 1, could you tell us what os you are running on your server. I assume you only have the single machine, and as such what sort of backup regime do you currently use (ie tape, zip etc. and how frequently and how much data is on the server)? My immediate thoughts are that if you do a regular "full system" backup, it should be fairly straight forward for you to restore the permissions required.Regards. Agent Smith
ellas, I figured that if krp 1 is referring to a work server, then the personal listing for the forum, may not be the correct details. Also XP, even the pro version, is hardly what I would call a server os  Mind you for that matter I'm not too sure I'd call any m$ os a server os  :P Mr. M.
