XP Home, SP2, IE7, latest updates, AVG AV.When I try to start up IE7, Control Panel or Explorer, it doesn´t start. I have seen that the processes iexplorer.exe is running in the application menu, but the frame is not occuring on the screen. I´ve scanned the HD with AVG and Adaware, but no viruses were found. I have also tried to boot with the latest working configuration, but no.I have run out of ideas. Does anyone have any suggestion of what I can do. When you get back working again, I strongly recommend that you make a full system backup and keep it up to date.Back to your immediate problem, can you do a System Restore to a time before this failure occurred?Failing that, you could attempt to repair your installation see click here or here.
