Simple Question

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone, I am new here and ran into a problem. I was on the internet and downloading .rar files. I would left click on the link, and a pop-up would say, "save as, open, or cancel"......below that, it says, "always use this option next time". I checked that little check box and it always opens the file, instead of saving, or whatever I want. How do I revert so this message always pops up again? In other words, I want the message to always say, "Open", "Save as...", or "Cancel". I went into Internet Explorer options and returned everyting to defualt and that didn't work. I am open to suggestions and any help anyone can give.

Thanks again,

cordsweat

If you are using IE7 try this.

Click on the end arrow (just after Tools) this should bring up the help menu, click on help / Contents & Index / Digging deeper into Windows / Reset IE to default settings.

It shows you how to do it, and what it alters.
