LakiLevi Posted June 17, 2007 Report Share Posted June 17, 2007 Hi.I have made a big mistake: I've deleted the value of HKEY_ LOCAL_ MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon from Regedit. I have deleted it's content and I've left it blank.After Restart, I can not log in Windows. I see just the welcome page, and my user icon, but I'm not able to access my account.I tried to access my registry from another computer in network, but I couldn't.Please, help me.Thank you Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

But before that, can you try to boot to the Last Known Good Configuration (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307852)? Not sure if this actually helps, as Windows probably doesn't notice that something is wrong.Last time windows started, you where in the normal mode (i guess) therefore this would just start you in normal mode.Well, if it windows XP, then your actually rather lucky, cause XP has a idiot-proof way of trying to get arround some things.They set up an administrator account, hidden somewhere beneath, so all you might need to do is start in "safe-mode" (spam F8) and logon to the admin account.But seeing that its the "LOCAL_MACHINE" and not "CURRENT_USER" part you deleted, you might actually have to get the XP cd into the drive, and start in recovering mode... It can then be restored. :DHello.Thank you for your ideas. Yesterday a solved the problem, with a Windows XP live CD. There I entered in my account, and changed the registry entry.
