scarletjames Posted June 19, 2007 Report Share Posted June 19, 2007 My TV died so as I would love a bigger Monitor I bought a PC World AOC N22W LCD 22" Monitor to act as a TV aswell....My pics in PS look OK .. BUT it is the Type / Print ..it is Fuzzy and Bleeding .. very dificult to read which is annoying as I write quite a lotThe blurb says it has 1680 x 1050 resolution and keeps reminding me to change BUT I can only get it to go to 1600 .. The Drivers say they are correct for this Plug and Play Monitior ..which I didn`t think it was .. ????Did try other drivers but it only lowered the resolution ... Should or can I use my 15" Dell Monitor for print/writing etc .. and the 22" for TV and working on pics ???I have not even attempted to unpack the WinTV NOVA-TSE digital TV Stick .. too frighterning .. plus I might have to take everything back to PC World ... And I don`t get FreeView until 2012 .. if I live that long . ..my eyes are sore just reading this ... much help needed againg please ........xs Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
-pops- Posted June 19, 2007 Report Share Posted June 19, 2007 For me, that size of monitor would be far too big.Have you tried the "ClearType" system that is in Windows now? AlanHo Posted June 19, 2007 Report Share Posted June 19, 2007 Are you confident that your graphics card is capable of the higher resolotion. The graphics on my previous computer had a maximum resultion of 1200 x 800 or thereabouts and would not drive a wide screen monitor. With LCD screens you will only get crisp text at the native resolution - which for a 22" screen is 1680 x 1050.If possible - try the monitor on a friends computer to see whether it is OK there. If it is still not satisfactory and your graphic card is OK - the screen should be returned to the supplier for a full refund so that you can buy a premier brand like LG, Samsung, Viewsonic etc. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

A miracle happened last night .. on a friend`s suggestion I Refreshed to the highest setting which is 75 Found I had NVIDAGEFORCE FX5200 in the driver listing which wasn`t showing before .. and suddenly I was able to move resolution to 1680 x 1050 and the print went to `normal` and is beautiful ..Pics seem to look OK .. will work on them tommorrow .. all digits crossed ..
