W10 Posted June 22, 2007 Report Share Posted June 22, 2007 hiim having some trouble when opening some downloaded files (divx, xvid) as soon as i click on the file it shuts down i have been able to burn them to dvd and move them by leaving the end now box open.these files dont seem bad they work and play fine but i dont know how i can stop it from constantly shutting downim pretty basic on the computer but here is the error signiture if anyone knows what it meansAppName: explorer.exe AppVer: 6.0.2900.2180 ModName: xvid.axModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 0003e9abthanks for any replies Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Coreper Posted June 23, 2007 Report Share Posted June 23, 2007 it has got something to with your xvid.ax file, which [i think] causes the errorthe xvid.ax file is a multimedia codecyou can fix this by getting the latest versioni recommend getting the latest DivX codec [includes the Xvid codec] from the DivX websitei hope that works Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
