amirand926 Posted June 22, 2007 Report Share Posted June 22, 2007 Hey everyone, i recently tried to access the user accounts within my control panel and i ALWAYS get a runtime error on line 4 and line 5... and of course it asks if i want to debug or not... either way i get nothing else... anyone know how i can fix this? this seems critical... here is some info you might want/need:I do have admin accessi m running: NOD32 antivirus Zone Alarm Pro WinXP Pro w/SP2..not sure if you need anything else... if you ned a hijackthis log file i guess i can get one if needed.. There is a facility in IE that even Microsoft now tell you to disable. From IE click Tools/Internet options/Advanced. Then scroll down and ensure that the box which says "Disable script debugging(other)" is ticked. Do the same with the box which says "Disable script debugging (Internet Explorer)". amirand926 Posted July 3, 2007 Author Report Share Posted July 3, 2007 I have discovered the error and what a hassle. It turns out that IE7 has been causing the scripting error(s). I called MS and the guy had me uninstall IE7 by running the IE7 uninstall file from the Run command line in start menu. All the scripting errors went away and he told me that if i wanted to install IE7 that i should probably download the installation file first, save it to my desktop and run it from there (disabling AV software first) instead of doing it through the update. The uninstallation worked to let it go but i havent installed IE7 again yet [ and dont think i will since i almost enver use the browser unless a site requires it specifically].Info here on runtime errors.
