SweeT EviL
Hi all,Just like that, my windows freezes for 2-3 seconds in spaces of few seconds or few minutes. Its like the all computer freeze for those seconds when I serf, on the desktop, watching a movie(this is where it mainly happens), play a game or whatever. It happened to me before but not that extreme like now(a few days its like that).I ran a Kaspersky and Ad-Aware check and nothing..! =\
Michael___
Did you look in Task Manager to see if anything is hogging system resources?
rong
Have you cleaned out the dust and crap that gets inside, also are your fans still working, as if it's getting to hot it might do this.
SweeT EviL
My CPU temperature is 28 in idle(930D).About 10-20~ got split with some process, cant remember which. Also I notice that my explorer is pretty high - 30K+, when it usually around 13K. My highest svchost is also 30K and above but I dont know if it normal or not.

Also make note of the system load as the apps that make the machine freeze are running. Make sure you check that those other processes stay dead after you kill them. Eight-Oh-Eighty-Eight
It sounds to me like your system is swapping. What's your page file usage like? I really don't think there is anything wrong with your computer hardware wise, you're just probably doing to much for your hardware to handle. Run some anti virus and anti spyware stuff and generally clean up your computer and see if this still happens.-8088
ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
You mention the memory usage of some processes (which may result in swapping), but what about CPU usage - are there any processes that use much CP when the freezing occurs?Back to memory: how much RAM do you have on your system? SweeT EviL
Here my mainly spec930D775dual-880pro2G 667 twinmos6800 @ 356/887And it not happen when I run a specific program or something, it happen randoms.I dont have any s*** on my comp and on my process list that runs - so nothing to kill(see for yourself this is how it always). My PF usage hits to a 650~ , right now its on 400.Also almost always my emule and bittorrent are running on the side and maybe ICQ also. But all of this almost and dont take any resources or memory.

SweeT EviL
This just poped. Is it related to this problem?
mcb2001
well, looking at your taskbar tells me this still could be a hardware problem.Since your CPU doesn't have any problems, have you checked the temperature of your RAM if posible, are you sure all the sections of the RAM is working correctly, since that usually cause other kinds of problems - more like funny drawings on the screen or program errors.Have you checked that both the RAM, the graphics card and any other cards and like are correctly and firmly placed?Have you blown out all the old dust in the computer - else get some compressed air, and give it a full go on all the internal parts of the computer. SweeT EviL
I am sure all my temps are ok.How can I cheack my RAM?P.S.could it be a HD problem?
mcb2001
I am sure all my temps are ok.How can I cheack my RAM?P.S.could it be a HD problem? No, HD error usually dont freeze the machine, but crashes it.The RAM can be checked with alot of different programs, so just google for it - an advice is thougth to use more then one program, because it isn't always it reconnizes an unstable RAM module... SweeT EviL
Look I printscreen my mainly errors(9). There is one that shows a lot more then the others - error 51.heres the pic:http://img517.imageshack.us/my.php?image=213213cp8.jpgWhen I finish the ram tests I will post here the results. Michael___
Look I printscreen my mainly errors(9). There is one that shows a lot more then the others - error 51.heres the pic:http://img517.imageshack.us/my.php?image=213213cp8.jpgWhen I finish the ram tests I will post here the results. My bet is on a hard disk issue. Check the one that says "error detected on \device\harddisk0\". I have seen a hard disk issue freeze a machine before. If you have a hard disk problem it could be causing all the other issues. Also hard disk issue is easier to detect usually than flaky RAM or Mainboard. Have you run a fulll surface scan on all of your hard disks to check for bad sectors?I would download ultimate boot cd and run the hardware checks on hard drive, memory, and mainboard. Start with the hard drive tests.http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/PS The HDAT 2 tool looks like it would do the trick of testing your hard disk for you....Good luck.Mike
SweeT EviL
I did X bad sectors (forgot the name - X) in the hdat2 and it was all blue- meanings no bad sectors. Is it means that the HD is ok?Should I run also the "most powerful X", it sound strong test...?I dont know if I told you or not, every restart I do the computer do chkdsk... And its not like I restart the computer from below.
Michael___
What brand of mainboard do you have? Hmmm... I was betting on bad sectors, but I guess not. I would try the Memtest86 next, and then perhaps the CPU burn-in.
SweeT EviL
Asrock =\When I'll finish the tests I'll post again. What about the "most powerful X" that in the hdat2?
Michael___
You could try that "most powerful" option. It may detect an issue with the controller that the other test overlooked. However, you can expect that test to take a long time, so I would start it before going to bed or something.MikePS....One other thing you could try is going to your run prompt, (Windows Key + R) and typing "msconfig" (no quotes). To open the MSconfig utility, you could use that to go to the startup tab and disable all items in that tab. Then reboot and see if the issue persists. If it doesnt then you know it was something running in startup and you can turn them back on one at a time to figure out what item is causing the issue. This is probably not going to fix the issue, but it is something quick and easy to try.
SweeT EviL
I ran the memtest86-3.3 for 4 and a half hours. I passed 3 and didnt have any errors.Didnt do the msconfig thing, yet. But I dont think it will matter because this stuck(s , somehow its show it as wrong spelling) are randoms.Another thing, this "most powerful" can hart the HD?And why the *uck every restart my computer do chkdsk?!
Michael___
The most powerful option will not harm your hard drive, and your system does chkdsk everytime you restart because it is detecting some sort of file system corruption. The chkdsk is a symptom of the issue. You can probably elect to skip the chkdsk once in a while by hitting the space bar when it says "you can press any key to skip chkdsk". Especially if you just ran the chkdsk.
SweeT EviL
Did the most powerful - nothing =\What now?
Michael___
Have you run the CPU burn in test and the memtest? Which model of Asrock mainboard do you have? I noticed they have a number of downloads for their various models of mainboards. Perhaps they have a firmware or driver update that could help with your issue. Alan2273
Looking at the second of the images you posted, it looks like some program is hogging all your resources as the physical memory states 2gb but the available memory is only 2% of that.Have you tried doing msconfig and disabling all the programs in startup, if this cures it try enabling them one at a time to see when it happens again.
