Can I set a program to run and turn off at certain times?

Hello all!

Can I set a program to run and turn off at certain times? Reason why I ask is I have a broad band plan where I get 10GB on peak and 15GB off peak. My off peak times are between 2am - 10am. I want to be able to start my file sharing programs during these times to take advantage of the extra download I have during the night. Im sure it is possable - I run Vista Premium. Any help would be awesome! Even if I can only get it to start at 2am, I can always turn it off before I go to work. Thanks all! ;)

turning the programs on definitly is possible:

to shut down the programs, you could do this:

restart computer [by using the Shutdown Scheduler]

restart programs [by putting them in the startup list, or scheduling them after the startup [you need to know the needed startup time though...]

Im loving that first program, thanks heaps - i can live with turning the programs off in the morning, but im getting too old to stay up till 2am every day :P Thanks heaps! Ill let you know if I have any dramas :)

Depending on your filesharing program, there should be a way to schedule how fast it can go or if it should transfer at all during certain times.

For torrent apps that do it, Im fairly sure that uTorrent has options for Scheduling.

Not sure about other file sharing apps though.
