Hi there My name is Bryan and i am looking to maybe get some awnsers to some questions i have regarding AD and GPO.My first question is this how can i set it so that users with desktops go on the proxy and cannot change there proxy settings in IE while leaving it so the noteboks on the our wireless routers remain with out the proxy on but are still part of the domain.thank you in advance

Locally, you can disable access to the Internet Explorer options, and thus, restricting access to the proxy. Open regedit and go to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Control Panel

1 means on, or restricted, while a 0 means open or unrestricted. I can only assume there is a similar, if not the same method for GPO.

In the following example, I have set the proxy key to 1 in the aforementioned registry section.
