KGB5097 Posted July 29, 2007 Report Share Posted July 29, 2007 I have a 5.1 plug and play speaker setup and am running Windows XP. Oftentimes I notice my rear speakers are not functioning, and upon going to Control Panel>Sounds and Audio Devices>Speaker Settings>Advanced I find that my speaker setup has been changed to 'Desktop Speakers', rendering my rear speakers useless. Changing to 5.1 Surround makes everything function well, but it seems that this issue occurs on a daily basis.I don't know if its a program thats doing this or whats going on, but is there any way I can prevent my speaker settings from being changed?
