Windows Xp problem

I got windows vista today , so I installed it , but i forgot that i need xp for avile , so I just canceled instalation , well now when i start windows is shows error that system 32/winload.exe is missing , so just choose run old windows , so what i need to do that i won't get that error..?

Although if you want to maintain many of your files, do not format when you choose to install XP. If you do not format then you will only lose files located in the documents & settings folder and in the windows folder (your desktop and files in it are in the docs & settings folder). If your files are not an issue then you should defineatly format because it's good for your HD.

If you are going to install Vista it's best to do a clean install........ however, I have read that you can fix this problem with a fixboot command at the C:\windows prompt.

I haven't had this problem so I can't say for definite... but it may be worth a try!
