I believe that Windows Vista is the death of Plug and Play!!! I mean case and point:

I plugged in my 4-port usb hub and it doesn't work for lack of a driver!!! same goes for my portable hard drive and PDA.

So dose any one know if Microsoft is planning on fixing this or is this just my problem because i can't fine anything else on it.

Thanks in advance,

Stephan

its supposed to be fixed... but wouldn't you rather have they fixed any security issues as first priority?

I mean - yes, its anoying that nothing works proper in vista, but thats the price you pay when you get an all new operation system, before its even fully functional...

Yeah but Security has never really been an issue with me (yet)

the funny thing is that all my stuff worked with Vista RC2

well, anyways - it should just be a mather of time...

But anyways, try and see if any of your manufactors of your hardware has a driver for Vista.

And in worst case scenario - go spend 40€ on a used computer with XP or like, set it up to the network, and use that one for backup til Vista starts working :-/
