Recently I am getting a window popping up with the following text:--------------------------------------IEXPLORE.EXE - Application Error.The instruction at "0x7473c7d6" referenced memory at "0x00000002". The memory could not be "read".------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------It also occurs on other applications eg: Ulead "VideoStudio 9". Sometimes happens when closing dowm Windows.I have checked out the computer memory, and all appears OK.Anyone got any ideas? Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
nellie2 Posted August 15, 2007 Report Share Posted August 15, 2007 Are you using IE7?If yes then try running it without any add onsStart > All Programs > Accessories >System Tools > Internet Explorer (No Add-ons)If you don't get the error then one of your add ons is causing the problem. Obviously I need to gen up on how “add ons” work and how to disable and re-enable them. I assume the same will apply to some other processor intensive apps, like video editing, where the error: “x memory cannot be “read”, or x memory could not be “written” keeps popping up (x having ten digits).Thanks again.Harold Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I suggest you disable them all and then re-enable them one at a time until you find the culprit that has been causing the problem.As for the problem with the video files... hmmm, I'm not sure.
