-pops- Posted September 6, 2007 Report Share Posted September 6, 2007 The frequencies, format and systems used for wireless computer operations are very different to those used by broadcast television.I use Hauppauge tuners when setting up computers to receive TV signals. There are lots available depending on whether you are analogue, digital, PAL, NTSC or whatever.You don't state where you are located but this is the Hauppauge home page. Some 2.4 Ghz cordless phones interfere with Wifi adpaters because of simple interference. But you would not be able to listen to those calls with a Wifi adapter because the adapters embedded chipset can not decode that data.As the other post already mentioned, you will need to buy a TV tuner for your computer.
