Is there a way to disable that? How can i install XP apps like example Partition Magic which is for XP on to Vista or they are can be installed on XP?How do i disable the Vista firewall so i can use my own?How do i disable the updates so i can download them myself and what site can i download the updates from? Full updates everything? What is the best firewall out there and how do i configure it?What is the website for AVG antivirus download? That is all my questions for now. nellie2
I know where i do an install with Vista it takes up my whole hard drive. Is there a way for me to set the sizes then install?I'm not quite sure what you mean by that but you can't compress an installation of Vista or any other operating system as far as I'm aware. When i installs apps like anything it prompts me allow or cancel. Is there a way to disable that? That is called the User Account Control or UAC, it's a security feature of Vista and I wouldn't recommend disabling it. You should find that once you have your system set up it doesn't prompt you so much... you get used to it. If you really want to disable it then do a google for 'disable UAC', it should bring up something. How can i install XP apps like example Partition Magic which is for XP on to Vista or they are can be installed on XP?Partition Magic isn't compatible with Vista.. don't try it. How do i disable the Vista firewall so i can use my own?In the Security Centre, just like XP :)How do i disable the updates so i can download them myself and what site can i download the updates from? Full updates everything?Again, you can disable updates in the Security centre, you can download them from here or hereWhat is the best firewall out there and how do i configure it?I wouldn't like to say really as I use the Vista Firewall.. there is a guide here on how to configure it. Other than that, there is a list of Vista compatible firewalls here.
