SmokingMan
I am occasionally losing the textbox focus on the XP logon screen and have to reboot to get it back. This seems to happen mostly after the system screen saver has come on. This has started happening after the install of ZoneAlarm anti virus, so it may be related to that, I don't know. I've tried to get an answer on the ZoneAlarm forum but as of yet, to no avail. Could this be a problem with XP Pro or maybe ZoneAlarm? I've run ZoneAlarm firewall for years with no problems. Has anyone else experienced a problem like this?

We don't have Zone Alarm though. Good luck with your search. Hopefully you can post a solution that worked for you if no one else posts some suggestions. Coreper
try uninstalling ZoneAlarm and check if the error still occuresif that doesnt help, try a windows system check:enter "sfc /scannow" in the Run box*note: this will only work properly if you havent used any shell tuning software, like XPize or a Vista Transformation Packbtw: do you use the most recent version of ZA? And it was the most current version of ZA. It happens constantly now. I've since installed Windows Live One Care to try it out. I don't like the lack of control I have with One Care as opposed to ZA. I don't think this is a problem with ZA, but with Windows.
