shayes67 Posted October 3, 2007 Report Share Posted October 3, 2007 Yahoo Messenger will not load up, double click, light flashes, computer whirs and nothing happens. This is what I've done, checked my firewall, as far as I can tell messenger has never requested Internet access. Disabled firewall, nothing. Uninstalled and re installed all yahoo programs and ie7, nothing. I removed the Windows IM. I scanned for viruses, none detected. What am I missing. Is there a way to see what the computer is doing when I double click on the Yahoo Messenger shortcut? Oh yeah, I evan went through my computer to open the file and ran it in the run box in the start menu. Any help would be appreciated. andsome Posted October 4, 2007 Report Share Posted October 4, 2007 When my son went on an extended world tour, I installed this wretched program at his request so that he could keep in touch. It was one of the most intrusive and irritating programs that I have ever used. When he returned, I couldn't even uninstall it cleanly, and ended up formatting and reinstalling Windows.
