apprhisaterrak
My recovery partition analyzes as VERY fragmented. It is 11.62 GB of the 80 GB disk. It is FAT 32 as opposed to ntfs like the main partition. Defragmenter says only 10% space is left and it need at least 15% to do a defrag. It says to delete some files but the recovery partition has only 1 file on it. Is there any way to rectify this or should I not worry about it?Thank You
-pops-
If the recovery partition is part of the computer as it was supplied (from Dell, for example) leave it well alone. Do not make any attempts to alter it in any way whatsoever. The recovery partition is your lifeline if, or when, anything goes wrong with your system and if you have made any changes to it then it may not work when you need it most.Forget what any defragmentation software tells you about it or that it's FAT 32 or that there's only 10% disk space left - that's all it needs.
