gareth
After installing a new, legal copy of windows office 2007, i now get the "windows installer" box come up every time i try to open any file on the computer. This includes internet explorer, outlook, as well as all office applications. It getting very annoying. How can i disable it?
-pops-
It may be an incomplete installation of the software. As a first try, assuming the 2007 version behaves similarly to previous issues, put the Office in and select "Repair". Jayno
Interesting this because I've recently installed a brand new MS Office 2007 (sealed copy bought from Amazon) and when I tried to download some demo/tutor files from the Microsoft Office site I had to download their OGA plugin installer but got blocked from using it on the grounds that I didn't have a legal Office2007 copy! I was then prompted to download and run their "Office Genuine" Check file, but I still got the same result.I sent a complaint to MS Support but I think it's just gone into the Gatesworld ether. If you got any other advice it would be most welcome
