BrentNorin
Hello, I have found something strange going on with my computer. First off I have been dual-booting Windows XP Home and Gentoo Linux for a while, and decided I wanted to remove the linux distro for various reasons which are of no concern here. Anyways, Windows was on the first Primary Partition. After that I had an extended partition with 3 logical partitions inside for the linux. When I removed the linux, I used the Windows Disk Management to remove the logical drives and then the extended drive leaving just unallocated space. I rebooted, ran fixmbr to remove GRUB out of my MBR, and booted windows back up. Everything is great and I have no problems. However when I open up my computer, my logical partitions I chose to delete (and do not show in the Windows Disk Management) appear in the "Other Section" with red question marks over them that say the location does not exist when I try to open them, duh, I deleted them.So why are they there? The drives no longer exist on my system. Can someone tell me how to remove these links to them in my computer? Thanks.
trackrat
Have you formatted the unallocated space back to NTFS?.
