Right clicking= 100% CPU

For a couple of weeks now...

When I right click in a certain folder (I've only noticed this with one particular folder and it's subfolders) the CPU goes up to 100% which causes everything to... well you know what.

I have tried disabling context menus (all of them, and then rebooting) Context menus using ShellExView - no luck.

I reinstalled the original NVIDIA drivers - no luck.

Any suggestions, anyone?

Move the contents somewhere else and see if the same thing is happening.

Also, What types of files are in this folder? and what process is going to 100%?

Thanks - good idea. Only it's not happening now - that is with all the context menus disabled. Last night it was screwy, but perhaps a second reboot with the context menus disabled has done the trick.

The files are html files mostly.

If it happens again I will do what you suggested, and I'll check the process.

Thanks again
