Raddy
I have an opportunity to (cheaply) upgrade my RAM. The operating voltage is 1.9V and Dell's RAM runs at 1.8V. Optiplex BIOS has no option to change voltage. My question is this: How bad will the memory lag if it's running 1/10 of a volt less than factory specs? And is the capacity I gain by adding extra RAM (going from 1GB to 2GB) outweigh the increased lag?
-pops-
Be very careful mixing memory in this way - you could easily end up with a non-working system, or have one or other of the memory types not working so that there is no gain in having them there.Always use the memory of the type (and operating voltage) recommended by the computer manufacturer or by an expert supplier such as Crucial.
