Hi guys, i have a strange problem with the windows explorer. every time i click on a non-C drive (all the logical partitions), the explorer fails to open the drive but instead throws up a "Access is denied" error message!! I have observed that when i right click on the drive icon, i am getting a new option "open(0)" instead of the usual "open" option. i guess this is the problem since i am not getting the same on the C drive...although one of the options is this strange "open(0)" the regular "open" is also available for the other drives and on clicking the same the behavior is normal, opens up the contents i.e., its terribly annoying to every time open the logical drive by first right clicking and then selecting the "open" option...

please lemme know a solution for the same...

cheers,

Spaesee

That's wierd Spaesee! Seems like your drives are all being treated as protected files, as if they are on a network. Have you been trying to set up a network, or restricting access to certain files? Try a System Restore to before when this happened. Let us know what the result is.
