balciar Posted November 15, 2007 Report Share Posted November 15, 2007 i was running a disk defragmenter and a file became corrupt. when it happened the system crashed, and when i started it back up it said that thefile {windows root}\system32\hal.dll has become corrupt or missing please repinstall. i tried running the windows disk and use the repair console which took me to the dos prompt but i couldn't get anywhere from there.your help will be geatly appreciated. thank you dshow Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
